As electronic companies strive to meet market demands, they face new challenges in managing the complexity of electronic device design against shrinking project schedules. Forte Design Systems offers a practical approach for designers to get more functionality and performance into each production design with its silicon-proven behavioral synthesis technology and design environment.
By automating the generation of high-quality RTL code from high-level design descriptions, Forte has provided a way for designers of complex chips to achieve considerable reductions in the time needed to attain production-ready designs. Forte offers synthesis technology that supports design at a higher level of abstraction, a systematic design methodology that reduces time to production, and the ability to deploy the new technology with minimal disruption to existing design infrastructures.
Forte has worldwide direct sales representation in North America, Europe, and Japan with a Value Added Reseller （VAR）relationship established in Korea. Forte Design Systems is a privately-held company with investments from 3i US, Infinity Capital, US Venture Partners, and number of angel investors. Forte headquarters is in San Jose, CA, with offices in Massachusetts, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, England, France, and Japan.
In 2009, Forte acquired Arithmatica, Ltd., provider of CellMath Designer datapath synthesis and CellMath IP intellectual property. Forte plans to integrate Arithmatica's patented technology and IP into the Cynthesizer SystemC high-level synthesis software to enhance quality of results (QoR). Forte will also provide an upgrade path for design teams using CellMath Designer directly to Cynthesizer to help them leverage their existing design work.
Customers span industries that include consumer electronics, digital media, wireless communications and infrastructure, security, and others. Customer applications that have a high amount of algorithmic content derive the greatest productivity benefits.
Forte's support of industry standards eases the adoption of new technology and protects design tool investments over time.
Forte partners with numerous EDA companies to deliver complete design solutions so that our common customers can derive the benefits of using products and technologies that best meet the needs for the production design flows.
Forte is a member of EDAC and an active member of OSCI with a seat on the Board of Directors.
